Yes, The Fox Tan is cruelty free.
The Fox Tan is a cruelty-free company that manufactures its tanning products in Melbourne. Their collection contains FoxComplex, an active amino acid formula that helps give its users a faster, natural looking glow.
On their About page, The Fox Tan reveals, “We are 100% Australian made and owned, created in Melbourne town. We are a vegan friendly brand and we proudly say ‘Hell nahhh’ to animal testing. We simply adore our furry friends!” In addition to not conducting testing on animals, The Fox Tan is committed to using purely plant-based ingredients. Aside from listing all the ingredients they use for each product, they state on their FAQs, “We have no trace of animal products in our range, and we like it like that!”
Though The Fox Tan does not reveal their certifications on their website, the tanning brand is actually certified cruelty free and vegan by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Under their Beauty Without Bunnies program, PETA explains how a company can be recognised as both:
“Global animal test-free recognizes companies and brands that have verified that they and their suppliers do not conduct, commission, pay for, or allow any tests on animals for their ingredients, formulations, or finished products anywhere in the world and that they will never do so in the future.
Global animal test-free and vegan recognizes companies and brands that meet the same requirements and whose entire product line is free of animal-derived ingredients. These companies are truly cruelty-free…
To be considered ‘cruelty-free’ under PETA’s Global Beauty Without Bunnies program, a company must not only ban animal tests but also refuse to use any animal-derived ingredients, such as honey, beeswax, or carmine, in its products.”
