About the shelter
Animal Rescue Coffs Harbour (ARCH) is a not-for-profit organisation that was established back in 2013.
They have an ongoing charitable purpose that works towards rescuing and rehoming unwanted, abandoned, or neglected dogs found within the mid-north coast region of New South Wales, Australia. They are composed of members who actively participate and manage the administrative side of the organisation. ARCH is also made up of foster carers who are responsible for taking care of the animals and temporarily providing homes for them to stay in.
Once abandoned dogs are rescued and taken in by ARCH, they are given health checks, vaccinations, and medical treatments that are required based on their state. If needed, the animals are microchipped and neutered to minimise the number of unwanted puppies. Aside from these services, ARCH showers them with affection and provides them with training. They commit to improving the physical and emotional well-being of the animals, giving them a second chance at life in just a short span of time.
Mission
- Animal Rescue Coffs Harbour’s mission is to rescue dogs from kill pounds and streets and to do this, they stay in close contact with country pounds and rescue agencies to rescue animals scheduled for euthanasia.
- Aside from saving and nurturing animals through capable foster carers, Animal Rescue Coffs Harbour works to find loving, permanent families for these dogs.
