Is VERED Organic Botanicals Cruelty Free?

Yes, VERED Organic Botanicals is cruelty free.

VERED Organic Botanicals was created by Vered Back, who is a master herbalist, aromatherapist, esthetician, and artisanal perfumer from New York. Her face, body, and scent collections are made using certified organic essential oils and herbs. Meanwhile, the formulas are developed by integrating holistic modalities with the natural ingredients.

The USA-based brand does not devote a page to its cruelty free commitment, but it displays the logos of Leaping Bunny and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) at the bottom of its main page. Through the online shop, customers can discover Back’s mission, which is to “get to the heart of the matter through her nose.” In addition to using 100% pure, ethically sourced essential oils and absolutes, her products are free of synthetic fragrances, colours, pesticides, and GMOs. More importantly, VERED Organic Botanicals reveals, “Committed to your health, the planet, and product quality, Vered strictly avoids any oils that are diluted and synthetically engineered. All of Vered’s perfumes and products are vegan and never tested on animals.”

PETA verifies VERED Organic Botanicals’ claim by including the brand on their Beauty Without Bunnies program as an animal test-free brand. It implies that the brand does not test its ingredients, formulas, and finished products on animals at any stage anywhere in the world. The same rule applies for its suppliers. It also states that “all products are vegan,” which means that VERED does not use animal-derived ingredients or by-products. These include but are not limited to carmine, beeswax, and honey.
