Is Simplicité Skin Care Cruelty Free?

Yes, Simplicité Skin Care is cruelty free.

Founded by David and Robin Lyons, Simplicité Skin Care features nutritive and natural skin care products focused on treating conditions such as early ageing, sun damage, redness, and acne. Since 1992, the Australian brand has developed effective products using a combination of concentrated extracts from medicinal grade quality plants. Some of these naturally grown plants are sourced from their Simplicite Wild Bush Farm in Lockyer Valley, Queensland.

Simplicité Skin Care openly shares their stance on animal testing by devoting a section on their website. They state, “Simplicité Skin Care is very proud to be an officially accredited cruelty-free company with both Choose Cruelty Free Limited and PETA Beauty Without Bunnies. These accreditations mean that NOT A SINGLE ONE of our products or ingredients has been tested on animals. Also, all of our products are accredited with Choose Cruelty Free and PETA as being suitable for vegans.”

Simplicité Skin Care can be found on the online list of Beauty Without Bunnies as a “cruelty free and vegan” company. This is because they do not test on animals and do not use animal-derived ingredients and by-products. Examples of animal-derived ingredients include beeswax, gelatin, lanolin, and squalene. However, it is important to note that Simplicité Skin Care no longer holds a license under Choose Cruelty Free (CCF) based on this list. This may mean that the company has chosen not to undergo annual certification with CCF.

Visit the Simplicité Skin Care website to discover their animal-friendly collection or learn more about other cruelty free brands from our blog. Feel free to check out our frequently updated lists of certified cruelty free and vegan household, cosmetic, and skin care brands.
