Yes, NCLA Beauty is cruelty free.
Established in 2010, NCLA Beauty was developed by sisters Elin and Anh-Thu Dannerstedt who dreamed of bringing “clean, effective beauty products” to customers. The American brand is known for crafting feel-good, original, and sensorial beauty products for the lips, hands, nails, and body.
When clicking on an item in their shop, NCLA Beauty shares the ingredients they use as well as the values they stand by as a beauty brand: paraben free, 7-free, cruelty free, and vegan. They don’t share their third party certifications, but they are found on the websites of two popular organisations focused on proving cruelty free claims. These are the Leaping Bunny Program and Beauty Without Bunnies Program by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
On their website, PETA states that NCLA Beauty uses their logo to show customers that they are a cruelty free and vegan brand. This means that they have fulfilled the two conditions set by PETA. As an animal test-free brand, they as well as their suppliers “do not conduct, commission, pay for, or allow any tests on animals for their ingredients, formulations, or finished products anywhere in the world and that they will never do so in the future.”
As a PETA-certified vegan brand, they fulfill the first requirement but their entire product line is free of animal-derived ingredients. Carmine, guanine, and ambergris are just some of the animal-derived ingredients that they should not have in their products.
Show your support for this animal-friendly brand by visiting their website. Better yet, check out our extensive lists of cruelty free and vegan skin care, cosmetic, and household brands that you can support!
