Is Habit Cosmetics Cruelty Free?

Yes, Habit Cosmetics is cruelty free.

Founded by Aja Frierson, Habit Cosmetics aims to “build an inclusive clean beauty brand, and to create the all-around best clean makeup products.” This goal is met by using non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty free ingredients, developing highly versatile formulas, and placing them in sustainable packaging. Their products include nail polishes, highlighters, and multi-use colour pots, which can be used for the lips, cheeks, and eyes.

Habit Cosmetics proudly displays their various certifications on their homepage. These include USDA Organic, 1% for the Planet, and FSC. More importantly, their cruelty-free and vegan claims have both been certified by two globally recognised institutions: People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ (PETA) Beauty Without Bunnies Program and the Leaping Bunny Program.

As a certified cruelty-free brand, Habit Cosmetics does not conduct tests on animals with their raw ingredients, formulations, or final products anywhere in the world. This commitment is extended to their ingredient suppliers and authorised third parties that may test on their behalf. Meanwhile, as a certified vegan brand, Habit Cosmetics does not use ingredients derived from animals or their by-products. These include but are not limited to beeswax, carmine, and honey.

Visit Habit Cosmetics’s official website to buy their cruelty free and vegan products. All their nail polish and cosmetic items can be ordered and shipped internationally. You can also discover more cruelty free brands from our blog. Better yet, look through our growing lists of certified cruelty free and vegan cosmetic, household, and skin care brands.
