Is Clever Curl Cruelty Free?

Yes, Clever Curl is cruelty free.

Clever Curl is an Australian line of specialised hair products made especially for men and women with curly hair. It was inspired by the Curly Girl Method by professional hairstylist and hair specialist, Lorraine Massey.

Clever Curl is owned by Ethical Brand Co, a company that also created Eco Style Project and EverEscents Organic Hair Care. On their official website, they state that Clever Curl products are cruelty free certified by the third party organisation, Safe Cosmetics Australia. They share:

“Clever Curl is against the testing of cosmetic products and ingredients on animals. We do not and will never test our products or ingredients on animals, nor will we ever commission others to do so. Clever Curl will continue to campaign until there is a world-wide ban on testing cosmetic products and ingredients on animals.

The team at Clever Curl [has] a strong passion for ethical and cruelty free manufacturing. To show our commitment, Clever Curl has obtained official accreditation from Safe Cosmetics Australia.”

Safe Cosmetics Australia also lists Clever Curl as vegan friendly certified. They are also in Choose Cruelty Free’s list of brands that do not test on animals.
