Yes, Ecostore is cruelty free.
Ecostore is a New Zealand brand that was founded by Malcolm and Melanie Rands in 1993. It currently sells home care, body care, skin care, baby care, and oral care products using naturally derived ingredients. All their products are developed and manufactured at a carboNZero certified factory in Auckland.
Ecostore’s mission is to provide products that are “safer for you and our world.” They share, “Our products proudly carry the logo of the world’s largest animal rights organisation, PETA. We’ve signed their statement of assurance verifying that we do not conduct or commission any animal testing on our ingredients, formulations, or finished products and pledge not to do so in the future. Instead, we carry out extensive in-house testing and large-scale consumer testing of our products to make sure our customers love them as much as we do.
In China, where animal testing for some cosmetics products is required, all of our affected body care products are sold online. This means we’re not required to test on animals – these body care products won’t be available in physical stores in mainland China as long as animal testing is required there. We will not change our stance on animal testing for sales.”
Aside from being cruelty free, they also list most of their products as vegetarian and vegan friendly. However, they do not mention their vegan certification.
