Is Biossance Cruelty Free?

Yes, Biossance is cruelty free.

Biossance sells moisturisers, oils, serums, masks, cleansers, and toners using ingredients that do not harm animals and the environment. Their research has created a renewable sugarcane-derived squalane that saves two million sharks each year. Aside from this patented ingredient, they use ethically and sustainably sourced ingredients and refrain from using 2,000 toxic ingredients to guarantee utmost safety for their consumers.

The skin, body, eye, hair, and sun care brand is committed to manufacturing products that are never tested on animals. It has received cruelty free third party certification from two globally recognised organisations: People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and Leaping Bunny (certified since 2018). Both Beauty Without Bunnies and Leaping Bunny logos appear in their shop’s product descriptions. On their FAQs page, they share, “Biossance products contain no animal ingredients or by-products in the manufacturing process or final product and no animal testing is involved in any part of the process.” Additionally, PETA also certifies that Biossance is safe for vegan use.
