Yes, Amor Luminis is cruelty free.
Founded by Tash Tourabaly, Amor Luminis was originally a passion project that started in her kitchen. There, she crafted eco-friendly and all-natural bar alternatives to commercially sold shampoo and conditioners. Giving the homemade soap to her mom who had a sensitive scalp, she soon began offering the bars to friends and family who all loved the toxic-free alternative.
At present, Amor Luminis sells shampoo, conditioners, accessories, and hair gift packs on their website. The Perth-based hair care brand states that their shampoo and conditioner bars are packed with plant-derived ingredients, pure vitamins, and premium essential oils. Though they do not explicitly discuss this on their website, their formulations are cruelty free and vegan. The “cruelty free and vegan” logo by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ (PETA) appears in their Shop.
Aside from using the PETA logo, Amor Luminis is also found on its Global Beauty Without Bunnies Program. The non-profit organisation considers Amor Luminis as “cruelty free and vegan” because it meets these conditions:
“Global animal test-free recognizes companies and brands that have verified that they and their suppliers do not conduct, commission, pay for, or allow any tests on animals for their ingredients, formulations, or finished products anywhere in the world and that they will never do so in the future.
Global animal test-free and vegan recognizes companies and brands that meet the same requirements and whose entire product line is free of animal-derived ingredients. These companies are truly cruelty-free…
To be considered ‘cruelty-free’ under PETA’s Global Beauty Without Bunnies program, a company must not only ban animal tests but also refuse to use any animal-derived ingredients, such as honey, beeswax, or carmine, in its products.”
