It is not recommended for cats to eat cake.

The amount of cake your cat eats is another factor to consider. If she only had a small bite of plain sponge cake, she may not display any adverse effects. However, continue to keep an eye on her for the next few days. Report any changes in her mood, behaviour, eating, and litter box habits.
