Yes, OFRA Cosmetics is cruelty free.
Established by Ofra and David Gaito back in 1994, OFRA Cosmetics manufactures and distributes makeup and skincare products from their South Florida Headquarters. Their collection includes cosmetic products geared towards the eyes, face, and lips. For the skin, they develop cleansers, toners, serums, treatments, and more.
The American brand states, “OFRA is committed to creating innovative products with good-for-you ingredients that are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. We believe that beauty is never perfected, and creating it is very personal to us.” Though OFRA Cosmetics does not discuss their stance on animal testing via their website, they have received cruelty-free certifications from two globally recognised programs: Beauty Without Bunnies by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and Leaping Bunny. The logos of these respective programs are included at the bottom of the beauty company’s homepage.
Additionally, PETA states that all OFRA Cosmetics products are certified vegan. This means that they do not use raw ingredients derived from animals or their byproducts. Squalene, carmine, and guanine are some common examples.
