Yes, MCoBeauty is cruelty free.
Founded by Shelley Sullivan in 2016, MCoBeauty is an affordable beauty brand that sells salon-quality cosmetics and skincare products all under $40. The Australian company is driven by their need to “serve everyday women who want amazing, results-driven products that are affordable, yet still deliver on quality.” Because of this, they use science-backed active ingredients and native botanicals to create collections for the eyes, lips, and face. Over the years, they’ve even expanded their line to manufacture beauty tools and accessories.
On their FAQs page, the Australian brand answers the following questions:
“Are MCoBeauty products tested on animals?
Absolutely not! MCoBeauty is proudly cruelty-free. We are PETA-certified and part of PETA’s Beauty Without Bunnies certification. You can find out more on PETA’s website here.
Are MCoBeauty products vegan?
Yes! We are vegan-certified.”
On their blog, PETA explains what it means to be a certified “animal test-free” brand as well as what it means to be a certified “animal test-friend and vegan” brand:
“Companies may be certified by PETA under one of two designations:
Global animal test-free recognizes companies and brands that have verified that they and their suppliers do not conduct, commission, pay for, or allow any tests on animals for their ingredients, formulations, or finished products anywhere in the world and that they will never do so in the future.
Global animal test-free and vegan recognizes companies and brands that meet the same requirements and whose entire product line is free of animal-derived ingredients. These companies are truly cruelty-free.”
