Yes, F.U.N Lacquer is cruelty free.
F.U.N Lacquer manufactures a wide range of nail polish collections such as holo, glitter, multi-chrome, magnetic, and matte. Established in 2013, F.U.N has been committed to creating “five-free” polish, making sure their formulations do not contain Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, and Camphor. Aside from nail polish, they’ve expanded to creating makeup products under the F.U.N Cosmetics brand.
On their About Us page, F.U.N Lacquer shares that they are a cruelty free brand. “We are proud to be certified under the Leaping Bunny programme and PETA, with all our products being 100% cruelty-free and vegan…
At F.U.N, we are passionate about providing every individual with high-end luxury products that capture those bold, beautiful looks you love. More importantly, we want to make you feel beautiful and confident from head to toe, with products that are vegan and cruelty-free, 100% safe to use on your skin and nails.”
F.U.N is no longer found on the Leaping Bunny’s Compassionate Shopping Guide. However, they are still certified by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). F.U.N Lacquer appears on the Beauty Without Bunnies online list as an animal test-free and vegan brand. PETA makes the distinction between “cruelty free only” and “cruelty free and vegan” by explaining on their blog:
“Global animal test-free recognizes companies and brands that have verified that they and their suppliers do not conduct, commission, pay for, or allow any tests on animals for their ingredients, formulations, or finished products anywhere in the world and that they will never do so in the future.
Global animal test-free and vegan recognizes companies and brands that meet the same requirements and whose entire product line is free of animal-derived ingredients. These companies are truly cruelty-free.”
