Is Eye of Horus Cosmetics Cruelty Free?

The short answer: Yes, Eye of Horus Cosmetics is cruelty free.

The long answer: Created by Holly Spierings, Eye of Horus Cosmetics is committed to ethically sourcing only the finest, organic ingredients for their cosmetics. Putting equal importance to the people who use it and the environment it takes its ingredients from, the brand manufactures cruelty-free, paraben-free, gluten-free, and harsh chemical-free beauty products packed in earth-friendly containers.  

Eye of Horus currently has a Choose Cruelty Free certification. On their FAQs page, the makeup line states, “RA Cosmetics Pty Ltd Trading as Eye of Horus Cosmetics has an ethical mantra to ensure that no ingredient or finished product has been tested on animals. We have signed certifications from all manufacturers to confirm that no ingredient and no finished product in our range have been tested on any animal. All our products have undergone and been assessed for EU Compliance which is the most stringent compliance testing on cosmetics and ensures No Animal Testing on any finished product or ingredient. We do not sell our products into the [People’s Republic of China].”

The brand also carries mostly vegan products, which do not use ingredients or byproducts derived from animals. The only exceptions are their Goddess Mascara and Goddess Pencils, which contain ethically farmed beeswax.
