Is Váhy Cruelty Free?

Yes, Váhy is cruelty free.

Váhy is a boutique natural fragrance house that creates genderless perfumes. Its founders Kate Macdonald and Anna Weatherlake created a modern fragrance line that inspired wanderlust as well as the desire for balance and simplicity in life. The company is committed to only using the finest and most ethical ingredients. Váhy reveals, “At Váhy, our products contain only the most premium and luxurious ingredients. They are cruelty-free with 100% natural ingredients that are >80% organic in composition… Váhy believes in offering products that are premium, clean, and natural, without compromising on the quality or sophistication of our scents.”

In the section “No Nasties – What This Means to Us,” the Melbourne-based brand elaborates that it does not use animal by-products nor conduct tests on animals. Additionally, it also mentions all the harmful chemicals that the brand does not dare to use. It even breaks down where these toxic ingredients are found, and what its effects are to people, animals, and the environment.

Additionally, the About the Founders section reveals the company’s mission: “Váhy was founded with strong core values and with the aim of encouraging people to transition to a fragrance that is better for self, better for the animals, and better for the environment. Through Váhy, Anna and Kate hope to educate and inspire people about the world of natural, organic fragrance and offer luxurious scents that people can trust.”

Because their ingredients, formulations, and final products do not include animal-derived raw materials and are not tested on animals at any stage, Váhy is certified as a cruelty free and vegan fragrance brand by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). The brand is included in PETA’s global Beauty Without Bunnies list.
