Is Savon Stories Cruelty Free

Yes, Savon Stories is cruelty free.

Savon Stories is created by artisans that focus on producing “deep nutrition” skin care and personal care products. They define this as using only “clean edible ingredients, no greenwashing, and formulated without water to give you an intensive, concentrated treatment.” Their products are handmade in England and France, led by Monte who follows her grandfather’s philosophy that the skin is the second stomach. Because of this, they only use raw, plant-derived ingredients that are good for the skin and body.

Savon Stories does not mention their stance on animal cruelty. However, the brand is included on the Beauty Without Bunnies list created by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). The brand has submitted the proper documentation to prove that they and their suppliers do not condone animal testing. All their raw ingredients, formulations, and final products are not experimented on animals at any point and anywhere in the world.

Additionally, PETA states that all of Savon Stories’ products are vegan. This means that they do not use animal-derived ingredients and by-products for their body, face, hair, and aromatherapy products. This includes Stearic Acid, which is taken from the stomachs of pigs, cows, and sheep and used for soaps. Because the brand is both cruelty free and vegan, it is licensed to use PETA’s “cruelty free and vegan” logo on its products.
